17 - Dinner Time

Pearl heard the door open and had to shut her eyes against the glare, as light suddenly flooded into the room. She heard the familiar squeaks of the serving cart's wheels and opened her eyes to see her feeder standing in the doorway, a funnel in her hand.

"Someone's hungry, I bet."

How long had it been since her last meal? An hour? Twenty minutes? She had lost track of the time, but this had surely been going on for days, and the feedings were happening more and more frequently. 

Pearl moaned quietly, and briefly struggled against her bonds - not daring to go any further in expressing her resistance. After all, that's what got her into this mess, so she did her best to make room to accept her punishment.

I did this very quickly, mostly just to try to experiment with working greyscale and trying to incorporate a fuller range of values. I'm not entirely happy with it but I will probably rework this at some point.
